The Solutions for Business program offers cash rebates to APS business customers to reduce energy consumption in new and existing buildings. By participating in the program customers may:

• Decrease electricity use
  
• Lower monthly consumption and/or demand charges
  
• Reduce maintenance requirements and costs
  
• Improve comfort
  
• Boost productivity

Customers can choose from a prescriptive menu of measures or they can propose custom projects. They can also qualify for assistance with energy studies and to participate in the Energy Information Services (EIS) program. [Program flyer]

The Solutions for Business program is funded by APS customers and is approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission. The program has grown steadily since it was launched in March 2006 .

The program paid $18 million in incentives to business customers through the end of 2009. These customers will save $327 million on their APS bills over the equipment’s lifetime. The installed measures will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2.1 million tons, which is equivalent to the annual emissions from 327,000 cars.

Since power plants use water, the reduced energy consumption as a result of this program will save 1.1 billion gallons of water over the lifetime of the installed measures. This is equivalent to the annual water consumption of 8,750 homes.
